When the WIllises son Allan drops by the Help Center to visit mom Helen and observe what she, Louise and the other workers do, he happens to run into Richard, who was attempting to steal a can of change on one of the social workers desks; After Allan tries to talk Richard into talking to one of the workers, saying "maybe they can probably help you", Richard is taken aback when he sees White Allan greet his black mother Helen. When he overhears Helen, Louise and one of the other workers talking about the center closing due to lack of funds, Richard responds "I've heard enough of your talk...You people can't even help yourselves!"
