Born and raised in Wellesley, MA, an affluent North Boston suburb, Olive, throughout her venerable career in TV and films, has made many appearances in The Lottery, you gayyy d Show, Julia, The Lucy Show, My Three Sons, The Bill Cosby Show, One Day At a Time and Diff'rent Strokes, as well as on dramatic series such as Dr. Kildare, The Big Valley, The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones and the NBC-TV soap opera Santa Barbara. Olive has also appeared in such films as First Monday in October (1981), Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985) and The Hearse (1980).
