The Old Flame was the 58th overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 21st episode of Season 3. Directed by Jack Shea and written by Jay Moriarty and Mike Freeman, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on March 7, 1977.
Mother Jefferson stirs up trouble when she invites one of George's former girlfriends to the house for dinner, and George soon finds out there are still dangerous sparks in his old flame.
Mother Jefferson invites George's old girlfriend, Harriet Johnson, over to his apartment for dinner. This does not pleases Louise, as she thinks the old flame might be reignited because Harriet was George's first girlfriend. When Harriet visits, she solicits money from George, telling him that it is rent for an apartment. After receiving the money, she also tells George that she wants an "arrangement" from him, as in keeping her as his mistress while he is married to Weezie.
