Tennis. Anyone? was the 36th overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 23rd episode of Season 2. Directed by Jack Shea and written by Sandy Veath, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on February 28, 1976.
George's excitement about being asked to join an exclusive tennis club is severely mitigated when the word token is volleyed.
George accepts Judge Markel's invitation to join the all-white Windsor Tennis Club for networking purposes, then finds out through one of the Tennis Club's workers, Carl, that he was being duped, only invited to be the club's "token minority", and appease the local media.
