Synopsis[]
George attends a meeting that he wrongly assumes is dealing with crime in the building - it turns out to be an attempt to recruit members of the Ku Klux Klan.
Storyline[]
Louise and Florence run into members of the Ku Klux Klan at the CPR class held for the tenants in the building. Meanwhile, a rash of robberies in the building prompts Tom to start a meeting with the tenants. He later gets invited to one already scheduled unknown to him it's a Ku Klux Klan meeting and he invites George to come along with him.
Full summary[]
When a crime wave strikes Manhattan, Tom decides to organize a meeting with the tenants, and invites George and Harry along. However, neither of them nor the other tenants, who have known George for a long time, are prepared for what they're about to witness at the meeting: a Klu Klux Klan rally. After George and the KKK leader, Herbert Purcell trade barbs, Herbet suffers a heart attack. George - having learned CPR - is able to revive him. Herbert's impressionable son Dwayne revises his opinion of black people, and decides to reassess his values, but no-one is prepared for his father's "show" of gratitude when he learns that George saved his life. George then speaks out his word that some people like Mr. Purcell, will never change their prejudice; despite saving them from near-death experiences. Seeing the entire situation that happened in front of them; with their newfound respect for George, and their disgust at Herberts's ungratefulness, both Dwayne, and all the other tenants leave the meeting; therefore leaving the group's right-hand man all alone.
