Louise vs. Jenny was the 55th overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 18th episode of Season 3. Directed by Jack Shea and written by John Ashby, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on February 7, 1977.
The trouble with being a mother-in-law is that you start acting like one - that's the lesson Louise learns the hard way when she and Jenny start fighting over Lionel.
Lionel falls ill while visiting his parents and Louise goes all out to take care of him. When Jenny comes over, she wants to take care of her sick husband which leads to a battle between who gets to take care of him, Lionel's mother or Lionel's wife?
Louise asserts to Jenny that she is Lionel's mother, and that she knows what is best for him; however, Jenny disagrees, saying that she is now his wife and being there for him while he is sick is a priority. While the argument continues, Louise discovers that she is acting just like Mother Jefferson when she was babying George around.
