Louise Gets Her Way was the 39th overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also second episode of Season 3. Directed by Jack Shea and written by Lloyd Turner and Gordon Mitchell, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on October 2, 1976.

Synopsis

George can hardly stand Florence once a week, so when Louise offers to hire her on as their live-in maid, he really hits the roof.

Storyline

Florence reports to work at the Jeffersons in a foul mood. After a typical exchange between her and George, she also vents to Louise. Finally, she reveals why she is so uptight this morning: Her landlord evicted her, presumably because the apartment building where she lives is being razed. Feeling sorry for Florence, Louise allows her to move in and become the family's full-time, live-in maid.

Florence readily accepts the offer, but the Louise realizes she overlooked something very important: she forgot to tell George. George - already losing his patience with Florence's constant sass and stressed out over trying to close a business deal with Mr. Owens, who is selling new vans at deep discounts - comes home and doesn't want any trouble from Florence. Louise then admits she hired Florence as a full-time maid and will be living with them. George snaps and not only fires Florence, he wants her out now!

Later, Mr. Owens arrives to close the transaction for the new vans. While George is busy mixing drinks for he and Owens, Florence saves George's neck by revealing Owens's true intentions, and that she overheard him on the phone with his connections, which foiled his plans to sell the busted up vans to George.
