Louise's Cookbook was the 33rd overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 20th episode of Season 2. Directed by Jack Shea and written as a teleplay by Ann Gibbs and Joel Kimmel from a story written by Jay Moriarty, Mike Milligan, Lloyd Turner and Gordon Mitchell, the episode, which was videotaped on December 23, 1975, made its premiere on CBS-TV on February 7, 1976.
Possum stew causes George to boil over after a publisher asks Louise to write a cookbook of her ghetto recipes.
Louise has made George possum stew for dinner when Tom Willis drops by. He learns that Louise based this delicious dish on one of her grandmother's recipes - all written with wit and in rhyme - and suggests that Louise combines them so they can be published by the company Tom works for. George however, doesn't like it one bit that his wife is writing a book and that she (and not he) is getting all the attention.
