Jenny's Opportunity was the 59th overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 22nd episode of Season 3. Directed by Jack Shea and written as a teleplay by Lloyd Turner and Gordon Mitchell from a story by Paul M. Belous and Robert Wolterstoff, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on March 21, 1977.
Is it right for a newlywed wife to leave her husband and go to England for three months? Jenny says yes; Lionel says no; so does George, who takes this as an opportunity to meddle once again in the young couple's relationship.
Jenny has just won a scholarship to study for the summer at Oxford in England and she is hesitant to accept the offer. Lionel thinks it would be a great experience for Jenny, that is until he learns his company won't transfer him there. When Lionel, voices his opinions, a brawl ensues with Louise, Helen and Jenny versus George, Lionel and Tom, the men wanting Jenny to stay put and the women wanting Jenny to able to decide for herself.
